As the newest member of Apothecary Theatre Company, I am excited to welcome you to our website.

My own journey with Apothecary began last summer when I had the pleasure of playing Bella in Apothecary Theatre Company’s production of Bella and the Pool Boy at the NY International Fringe Festival. From the moment I started working with Apothecary, I was overcome by the incredible sense of ensemble and immediately knew I wanted to be a part of this company.

As we begin our fifth year, it is our pleasure to announce 2012–2013 will be our very first season, featuring two shows opening over the next few months. In November, we start with the world premiere of Jimmy McManus’s Blood Potato at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row. We are thrilled to welcome back Kevin Kittle, director of In God’s Hat. With Kevin at the helm and an all-star cast, Blood Potato is a powerful play that you won’t want to miss.

The second part of our season is a collaborative piece entitled Superhero. Throughout the past year we have been working as a company to examine ideas of ‘real life’ people becoming superheroes. We have met each month with guest artists and company members to form a full script, exploring a new trend popping up across the country of citizens creating alter-identities and serving America. We are thrilled to bring you this collaboration in the Spring of 2013.

Dennis and Tom invited me into the company in December 2012. Working both creatively and on the production side of the table has been an eye opening experience and one I look forward to discovering more about. I am thrilled to be playing Adrienne in Blood Potato this fall in my first official production as a company member. The way the play has grown even from our reading in April is amazing and I can’t wait for all of you to experience this story.
